Physical uploads, season start dates and coaching contacts for interested athletes and families.
Winter sports are approaching at Blue Springs High School. Students interested in boys basketball, girls basketball, boys wrestling, girls wrestling, or girls swimming and diving should complete their athletic paperwork and connect with their program’s coach before attending a practice or tryout.
Start here: upload your physical in PowerSchool
Use the PowerSchool Parent Portal and the 5A-Act/Ath section of student registration. Complete your forms early so school staff have time to review them.

Complete these steps before participating
- Sign in through a web browser with your parent/guardian PowerSchool account.
- Open your student’s enrollment/registration forms. Indicate that your student will participate in activities.
- Open 5A-Act/Ath. Watch the required parent/student video, acknowledge completion and finish the activity/athletic forms.
- Upload a clear photo or PDF of Page 5 of the MSHSAA physical packet—the Medical Eligibility Form—in that section.
- Submit, keep a copy and confirm clearance with your coach or the Activities Office. An upload still requires staff review.
Before submitting, check that the eligibility page includes the athlete’s information, the provider’s eligibility determination, exam date, signature and clinic information.
Physical clearance can last up to two years. Follow any shorter period or restrictions stated by the provider, and check the expiration date so clearance stays current during the season.
Returning athletes: A current physical does not replace the annual participation requirements. Complete the current year’s health update, permissions and other required forms. If a prior physical was stored in Privit and you need a copy, contact the Activities Office.
Need help signing in? Email bssdpschoolparents@bssd.net or visit the district’s PowerSchool guide:

If 5A-Act/Ath is missing or you are unsure about clearance, contact the Activities Office.
